Welcome To Suba National Park
The forest concession is located in Oromia regional state,especial zone Wolemera and Sebeta Hawas woreda, touching 10 different kebeles, some 40 km South-West of Addis Ababa on the South-Western Slope of mountain Wechcha, The area lies within geographic location of 9089´ to 9000´ North Latitude and 38031´ to 38035´ East Longitude.
The natural forest covers an area of 2,378.71 ha which is 67.96 % of the total forest area, with varies species, while the plantation covered by this inventory has a total area of 1,013.45 ha. The isolated patches of forest at the site called Wato Dalecha South of the main forest is not included in the survey. This plantation has an accumulated volume of 137,228.44 m3 for all species. There different plantation other than natural enrichment which includes, Soft wood plantation, Eucalyptus plantation and Indigenous plantation.

Witnessing Aesthetic
Many people enjoy hiking, bird watching, camping, and picnicking in this forest environment. The scenic and aesthetic quality for recreation the forest the rolling landscape, the highest mountain peak, the old sawmill and rail way, the modern tree nursery, the old growth forests, birds and remnant mammals taking a refuge in this forest draws more than 10, 000 tourists annually.
Plantation
You will be visiting the undertake works of silvicultural treatment both in the Natural and plantation forest, secured external boundaries and expand plantation with in the concession, commence harvesting, utilization of matured stands of the plantation forest which creates a feeling of connecting to nature.
Wild Life
The forest has a decade long history of tourism. Visitors come to Suba- Menagesha for an experience that is rooted on the presence of wild life, associated fauna and the scenic landscape. Visitors participate in a number of activities; pursue many different interests, forest walk, hiking, bird watching and game viewing.
Different Species of Woody Trees
Acacia melanoxylon, Juniperus procera, Myrsine Africana, Olea europea and Scolopia thiefolia are among the various woody species in the forest that are the source of greater satisfaction in natural exploration.

Erer Mountain
Erer mountain forest priority area was legal established as one of the forest priority areas of “Finfinne Forest Development and Marketing Enterprise”. Historically, Erer mountain forest priority area conservation endeavor efforts has been started before in 1950. For the first time, Erer mountain conservation efforts was started by reforestation program launched during the Imperial Haile Selassie Regime through mass campaign and mobilization since 1960’s (report of Finfinne forest development and marketing enterprise et al.)
